INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup raw mangoes (peeled and cubed)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cardamom (elachi) powder
- A few strands of saffron mixed with 1 tbsp water
METHOD:
- Combine the mangoes with 1/2 cup water and boil for two minutes.
- Add the sugar and stir for another two minutes, while boiling.
- Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
- Cool completely.
- Grind in a blender to make a smooth puree.
- Add the saffron mixture and mix well.
- Store refrigerated in an air-tight container.
- When you wish to serve, take three to four tbsp of this mixture in a glass and top it with water and ice.
- Serve it chilled.
