SUMMER COOLER

A delicious summer cooler made from raw mangoes, flavoured with cardamom and saffron.


INGREDIENTS:


  • 1 cup raw mangoes (peeled and cubed)

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 tsp cardamom (elachi) powder

  • A few strands of saffron mixed with 1 tbsp water

METHOD:

  • Combine the mangoes with 1/2 cup water and boil for two minutes.
  • Add the sugar and stir for another two minutes, while boiling.
  • Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Cool completely.
  • Grind in a blender to make a smooth puree.
  • Add the saffron mixture and mix well.
  • Store refrigerated in an air-tight container.
  • When you wish to serve, take three to four tbsp of this mixture in a glass and top it with water and ice.
  • Serve it chilled.
